The Salt Cave is like no other that you have seen. It has uniquely designed elements and handcrafted features that help transport you from the mundane to the extraordinary. We'll invite you to take off your shoes and socks before entering the Salt Cave and place them on the shoe rack. Enjoy the beach-like setting!
Yes, you may leave your socks on if you chose. If you are unable to remove your shoes we do have shoe booties.
The Salt Cave gives you access to natural and fundamental elements that help support and sustain a healthy life.
- There are 3 Himalayan Salt brick light wall features to help transport you to a meditative or prayerful place.
- There is a heated salt table you can lay upon.
- There are 2 egg shaped swing chairs.
- There are lounging chairs throughout the room.
- There is a lot of floor space to bury, sit, draw or lay on the salt.
- There are two types of salt in the Salt Cave:
- There is over 2 TONS (approx. 5 thousand pounds) of Himalayan Salt, packed full of life supportive elements and trace minerals, as the floor of the salt room. It's anti-inflammatory, calming, grounding, and providing other health supportive properties.
Himalayan Salt has 84 trace minerals that your body also has. These minerals carry a frequency/vibration that resonate with the human body. (Ask to see how the tuning forks demonstrate resonance. You hear it for yourself!) Utilizing these specific frequencies can promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being where vibrations align with the body's natural frequencies, potentially stimulating healing processes, reducing stress, and improving blood circulation. Essentially its matching the body's natural rhythm with external vibrations, and can create a state of harmony and balance within the system.
We use a sophisticated Halogenerator that micronizes pharmaceutical grade salt (99.9% pure NaCl) to the size of a red blood cell. It then cycles through the air, as you breathe it in and it lands on the skin it can serve you in your health spa & beauty treatment. Pharmaceutical grade salt is used to make a saline I.V..
Salt is antifungal, antibacterial, and antimicrobial. Since salt helps the body break up mucus and toxins. Don't worry, a salt cave is more sterile than an operating room! There are tissues and a trash can in the room for your use. We sweep through the salt several times a day. Again, salt is antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial.
For those with skin issues, shorts or a short sleeve shirt may be advised to allow the salt particles to make contact with the skin affected areas.
Many with arthritis, muscle injuries, body aches, arthritis, elbow, or knee pain or stiffness have discovered benefit by burying those body parts in the salt for its grounding and anti-inflammatory properties.
You are free to lay on the salt and make use of the toys, buckets, & blankets provided in the room.
We do not allow liquids, aromatherapy, or food in the salt cave. This includes baby bottles, water bottles, and children's snacks, But you are welcome to enjoy in the lobby area.

NO: food, aromatherapy oil or sprays, water, or liquids of any kind are allowed in the salt room.
You are welcome to enjoy food and liquids outside the cave (this includes children's food/snacks/bottles).
Please be cognizant and respectful of others in the Salt Cave.
You may play in the salt, draw with your fingers or the play with the provided rakes, shovels, buckets, and toys.
Please put items back where you found them and toys back in the bucket.
You may sit in chairs, rest in a swing, lay in the salt, bury your body, sore knees, hips, shoulders, arms, wrists, make a salt pile for your neck/head to rest, etc.
There is a preset heated Himalayan Salt table you may lay on to help ease sore & tired muscles, help clear lungs, and rejuvenate the body. You may add salt, pillows or blankets to the table to make yourself feel more comfortable.
When you are paged, your session time is over.
Please put back any supplies or toys to their rightful place, and quickly and quietly exit the salt cave, so as not to disturb her guests.
