*Always drink water during and after your sauna session.
IMPORTANT TIPS! If you're new to sauna sessions, there are a few things you can do to make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
Research shows the physiological process of sweating has long been regarded as “cleansing” and of low risk.
Sweating deserves consideration for toxic element detoxification.
What is infrared sauna therapy?
Infrared sauna is a relaxing therapy that facilitates an invigorating and detoxifying deep tissue sweat, leaving you fully refreshed after each session.
Unlike traditional saunas, full spectrum infrared saunas use special heaters that directly penetrate into the body.
The infrared energy augments the body’s healing mechanisms, allowing toxins and pollutants stored in fat cells to be dissolved and washed away through natural body functions.
Because infrared light has the ability to penetrate human tissue, this sauna, in turn, produces a host of ANTI-AGING health benefits as well as relief from chronic pain.
Infrared sauna has also been scientifically proven to encourage WEIGHT LOSS.
A typical session in an infrared sauna can torch as many as 300-600 CALORIES.
As your body works hard to cool itself down, your heart rate elevates and your metabolism increases, causing you to burn calories without strenuous exercise.
*Bring your own water, a change of clothes if you want, and your set!
Detoxification
One of the BIGGEST infrared sauna health benefits is it’s ability to increase your blood circulation and stimulate the sweat gland, releasing built-up toxins in the body.
Generally, when this happens it will show up as little black spots on your towel. It doesn’t necessarily look black when the sweat is on your body, but it will when it dries.

The infrared energy augments the body’s healing mechanisms, allowing toxins and pollutants stored in fat cells to be dissolved and washed away through natural body functions.
What’s in your sweat?
The sweat which you excrete in traditional saunas is made up of 99% water and 1% toxins. Where as in an infrared sauna it is around 90% water and 10% toxins!
Sauna sweating can help detoxify your body as it rids itself of accumulated, highly toxic metals:
lead, mercury, nickel, and cadmium, as well as alcohol, nicotine, sulphuric acid, and other organic and inorganic compounds.
Burning Calories
According to the journal of American Medical Association, regular use of sauna imparts a similar boost on the cardiovascular system to running. As you relax in the gentle infrared heat, your body is hard at work producing sweat, pumping blood, and burning calories. As your body increases sweat production to cool itself, your heart works harder to pump blood at a greater rate to improve circulation.
This increase in your metabolism will burn calories. In addition, studies have shown that an infrared sauna session can burn up to 600 calories while you relax. Moreover, your basal metabolic rate is expected to elevate, an indication that you should burn calories at a heightened rate for hours right after your session has ended.
Pain Relief
Infrared heat penetrates tissue, joints, and muscles, to relieve pain stemming from overuse, strain, or repetitive motion.
If you suffer from muscle aches or joint pain, infrared sauna can help relieve this form of inflammation by increasing circulation and relaxing your muscles Time spent in an infrared sauna reduces or
eliminates stiffness, aches and soreness that comes with aging.
Blood Circulation
Increased blood circulation has also been shown to aid in the recovery of acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns, open wounds, reducing scars. Cellulite is not always reduced by weight loss. Sauna use and far infrared heat can increase heart rate and localize blood circulation which essentially reverses the fat cells to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Anti-Aging
Infrared stimulates collagen production to reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin tone plus boosts the delivery of nutrients to your skin through an elevated blood flow resulting in clearer, softer, and healthier-looking skin.
Relaxation
In just a few minutes the gentle warmth of an infrared Sauna will help you feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and renewed which balances your body’s level of cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone.
Sauna can also increase serotonin, a powerful hormone associated with relaxation and sleep. Following a sauna session, people show more brain waves related to deeper, more restful sleep.
Chromotherapy (aka Light Therapy)
Chromotherapy is the science of using colors to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that result in health and harmony. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration, and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms.

SAUNA can help warm up your muscles, improve blood flow, and get your heart rate ready for exercise. Typically, it is advised to limit your exposure to 5 to 20 minutes to maximize the benefits and limit risks.
If you’re healthy and looking to enhance your recovery. SAUNA can help you relax and reduce muscle soreness. Typically, it is advised to wait 10 minutes after exercise to use the sauna. After a massage a sauna can help wind down, reduce stress, and even improve cardiovascular health. Regarding massage, typically, it is advised to consult your doctor beforehand, drink lots of water, and keep your sessions less than 15-20 minutes.
Should you choose to use infrared sauna we are happy to set the sauna at a lower temperature of 97 degrees Fahrenheit or less and provide a shorter duration of service of 10-15 minutes. As with all clients, we encourage each person to listen to their body. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or faint in any way while using an infrared sauna during pregnancy, stop the treatment immediately as it may indicate you are overheating.
